For Love of Caleb

These sweet little diapers and hats were donated by the Central Texas division of Threads of Love for the families served at Alice Peck Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, New Hampshire.  They were created in memory of Caleb Copeland, to commemorate his first angel birthday.  Sewn with love by his mother, Emily Copeland, and Kristy, Grant's mommy.

"We were pregnant with our second child, Caleb William, and so excited he was on the way. He measured on the small side at our anatomy scan, but after further testing he appeared to be completely healthy. A few weeks later, at 21 weeks gestation, we found out he had passed away. Even though he was with us for such a short time, he has had such a lasting impact on our lives. Through reading other blogs of mommies with angel babies after his loss, I stumbled across a mom who quickly became a dear friend as I found out she lived down the road from me and was also starting up sewing projects for Teeny Tears. I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. It has been such a blessing to me to to honor sweet Caleb while helping to make something to comfort other parents that also have angel babies. I love it when something positive can come from his life." ~Emily, Caleb's mommy
"Threads of Love, through the effort and support of many participants in chapters across the country, provides clothing, blankets and other handmade articles for tiny premature and sick infants. We desire to show God's love to the parents and loved ones of these babies in their time of uncertainty. Perhaps those who are experiencing incomprehensible pain may know a peace and serenity that extends beyond the situation. We want to simply be there to bring the unsaid message of God's presence and His infinite love and compassion." ~Threads of Love
