For Love of Robert

Dottie Kruse joined our project in the summer of 2014.  In that time she has taken on diapers, blankets, hats, and Teeny Tunics for angel families!  In total so far, she has donated 732 diapers for angel families!  That is just the diapers, and does not include 136 tunics and countless blankets and hats that she has also donated along the way.  Thank you, Dottie, for your wonderful work for our families!

"My driving force behind my sewing is to honor my angel brother, Robert Earl Thomson. Robert lived for nine months before the Angels took him away. Robert got pneumonia. He just wasn't strong enough to pull through. I think about Robert everyday. I wonder what would our family be like if Robert had survived. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. ~Dottie, sister to angel brother Robert

I read about Dex Bradshaw. His story touched my heart deeply. So I decided that everything I made out of white flannel would be in his honor. I am very blessed to be a part of this group. If I can bring just a bit of comfort to a grieving family in their darkest moments then I will continue to sew." ~Dottie

For Love of Donavan Part #3, #4, #5

It was such a wonderful experience to be able to provide this service for families in need. Throughout the whole experience, my mind kept going back to my sister and her sweet angel Donavan. I can still remember all of the trouble she had finding something to bury Donavan in. I am so glad that I am a part of providing that bit of service for grieving families.

My sister told me that it was difficult in the logistics of finding something to bury Donavan in but there was also an emotional burden of having to search for something to bury your tiny baby in. She loves that this service will alleviate a burden from a grieving family at a terrible time. Thank you for honoring her and her dear angel baby."    ~Elizabeth M., angel auntie to Donavan

202 more diapers and 101 beautiful blankets have been donated in memory of little Donavan for the families of:

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, South Carolina
Hilton Head Hospital on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Womack Hospital in Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Diapers By Anita

Volunteer seamstress Anita has worked with her step-daughter Jen of Angel Wing Doula Services to make sure that the families of Mercy Health Hackley of Muskegon, Michigan have Teeny Tears diapers for their families.
This is a blessing to be able to help our littlest angels. God has been by my side this whole time and therefore I have been able to share my two angels and how they did not have any of that back then. The hospital loves the diapers and I am working on sending some other things to them. The bereavement doula group love the diapers as well and have asked that I send some for memory boxes." ~Anita

For Love of Meredith

"On June 30 of this past year we welcomed our daughter and only child into this world and within moments said goodbye as she was born too early to make it. I also immediately started making diapers for Teeny Tears (my mom and sister had made some after my nephew passed away). I was excited and energetic about them and worked on them for a few months almost every day. Then I went to buy more fabric. The trip was nothing out of the ordinary, but when I got home I put the fabric with the rest of my supplies and stopped working on them all together. Then this week I gathered some of my finished ones (and some left over from the batches my mom and sister made) to donate 44 sets to Mobile Infirmary. These diapers were worked on by me (Heather), Crystal, Marilyn, & Kim and are in memory of Meredith Danielle Montz."  ~Heather, angel mother to Meredith

For Love of Julian Part #2, For Love of Richard

"Today I want to include a dear friend of mine, that I met at work. We are bonded in more ways than one. Our most recent bond was that I found out I was pregnant with our baby Alex in mid-May. She found out she was pregnant beginning of June. She held my hand after my life saving surgery. I made sure she was ok during the summer months. Beginning of September, she found out her baby was not ok. Baby was not as developed as it should be and after further imaging done by her doctor, they were told that the baby's brain was not developing. They were told that she would be delivering the baby soon, as the heart had a lot of fluid surrounding it. That night I sewed diapers for both boy and girl and buntings for each. I visited with her the next day and I presented her the diapers and buntings for when she did deliver, she would have them with her. We had a long talk that night, from one bereaved mother to one that was wishing and praying that the findings were false. A few days later she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Angel Richard. He was dressed in the diaper and bunting that I had sewed especially for him.

I miss my son, Julian, more and more every day. It may seem as though I am ok but the leaves are turning yellow and I remember enjoying the colors two years ago as I held him in my belly, enjoying a Pumpkin Cappuccino, and my heart aches to hold my children. Life will definitely not be the same, as we lost what we prayed would be our rainbow baby, Alex, in June due to an ectopic pregnancy. Yes, life has been tough. Although neither of my children wore Teeny Tears diaper I am grateful that I found this organization and that I have been able to help two families in Prowers County Colorado with the loss of their babies."

Cynthia and Ralfie Rodriguez, angel parents to Julian and Alex

60 diapers were donated by the Rodriguez family, in memory of Julian, for the families served by Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado
